Veterans Visiting Veterans
They are no longer on active duty, but the men and women who have served our country in the armed forces deserve praise — and, if needed, a helping hand. Ways to salute our troops run the gamut, but the most impactful means if through expressions that cost only your time. At South Georgia Medical Center we are on a mission to launch a Vets Visiting Vets initiative where we find loyal Veterans who are vying to provide support to their fellow military personnel, active, retire, or veteran status, through sheer compassion. If you are a local Vet, are available to give 4 hours of your time, once a week, and are interested in helping us on this mission please contact us today at email@example.com.
These placements are very high profile and provide a special meaning to our environment as we continue to strive to provide the best experience from the start. The placement of these areas requires a very customer service minded individual who adores working with and being in the public. When volunteering in these areas you provide an initial “first impression” to our patients and visitors and set the tone of service excellence that each patient and/or visitor should anticipate.
Areas for Placement Include:
- Main entrances
- Main lobby elevators
- Auxiliary Desk
- Transport/Wheelchair Recovery (requires CPR certification, upon which we will provide)
- Information Desk
- Gift Shop
- Courtesy Cart Transport (requires clean MVR)
