SGMC Health Foundation Funds New Medication Pumps to Enhance Patient Safety

SGMC Health is delighted to announce a significant advancement in patient safety and care with the generous support of the SGMC Health Foundation. The Foundation funded the acquisition of 41 new Med Syringe Pumps, which will replace aging units across its facilities, bolstering precision and reliability in medication delivery within its intensive care units (ICU). 

The SGMC Health Foundation’s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes in the region has been instrumental in making this vital investment possible. By funding these state-of-the-art syringe pumps, the Foundation is directly contributing to the enhancement of patient safety and the optimization of care delivery. 

“This equipment offers advanced functionalities designed to streamline medication administration, reduce the risk of errors, and enhance overall efficiency in critical care settings,” said Travis Grassley, Administrative Director of Pulmonary and Neurosciences at SGMC Health. “With customizable drug libraries, comprehensive safety features, and intuitive interfaces, these pumps equip our team with the tools they need to deliver medications with precision and confidence.”
