SGMC Health is excited to open applications for our College Volunteer Program to undergraduate students interested in entering into the healthcare career field. This 15-week program exposes students to the inner workings of our healthcare system through volunteer opportunities in various roles and departments. Students will be placed in clinical and non-clinical roles to observe and interact with healthcare professionals in their daily work environment. Students will also participate in a Quality Improvement Project to better patient experience in their placement setting. Each student will work two four-hour shifts per week from August 25th – December 5th. By the end of the program, our volunteers will have gained medical and administrative exposure and earn valuable volunteer experience for their future endeavors
Requirements Include:
- currently enrolled as an undergraduate college student
- commit to a screening interview
- meet employee healthcare requirements (TB test & Flu Vaccine)
