Sheila Sheppard Joins Greenleaf as the Director of Nursing

Greenleaf Center is proud to announce that Sheila Sheppard is the new Director of Nursing. Sheppard received her ASN from Gulf Coast Community College, her BSN from Florida State University, and her MSN from the University of Phoenix. She has also completed 36 hours of doctoral study. Sheppard comes to Greenleaf after providing leadership to the nursing staff of Emerald Coast, a 90-bed behavioral health hospital located in Panama City, Florida. She has extensive experience in leadership and education as she has been a manager of clinical outcomes, emergency department manager, performance improvement coordinator and nursing instructor at Florida State University. Sheppard expresses her enthusiasm and states, “I am excited about the opportunity to join South Georgia Medical Center and the leadership team at Greenleaf.  Nursing plays a critical role in the achievement of Greenleaf’s mission within the Valdosta community.  I look forward to working with staff to ensure that nursing’s contribution to care is provided with competence, compassion and a commitment to quality.”Greenleaf is excited to welcome Sheppard as her experience and world views echo with the standard of care, enthusiasm and dedication that Greenleaf extends to each of their patients.
