South Georgia Medical Center honored Litundra Boatman, Certified Nursing Assistant at Hospice of South Georgia (HOSG) and Langdale Hospice House, as the Hospital Hero at its monthly Board of Directors meeting.

Boatman has worked with HOSG for ten years and was honored for her servant attitude and humble heart.

“Litundra consistently receives positive reviews from patients and truly embodies SGMC’s tagline of remarkable people providing extraordinary care with human kindness,” shared Kevin Moore, HOSG Executive Director. “We are fortunate to have someone with her compassion aligned with our health system.”

According to SGMC Vice President of Marketing and Public Affairs Johnny Ball, “It takes a special person to work for hospice, which serves individuals facing life-limiting illnesses, and we are grateful for Litundra’s passion to care.”

Boatman received a standing ovation from those in attendance.

HOSG is Valdosta’s only not-for-profit hospice provider and provides care to any person of any age facing a life-limiting illness. HOSG serves approximately 300 families annually in an eight-county area.
