South Georgia Medical Center proudly announces the return of the highly anticipated Girls Just Wanna Have Brunch fundraiser, now in its second year, dedicated to championing women’s health. Held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the annual event encourages women to come together to foster health advocacy in the community.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 14, at 10am at the McKey Hotel in Downtown Valdosta. Attendees will be treated to a delightful brunch of mimosas and a waffle bar, alongside a build-your-own bouquet station and photo station. This year, downtown vendors will also join in on the fun with exclusive discounts for brunch-goers.

“At our inaugural brunch last year, It was inspiring to see a room full of strong, empowered women supporting women,” said Hilary Gibbs, SGMC Vice President and Chief Development Officer. “Our goal is to encourage women to take charge of their health by prioritizing preventive screenings and maintaining regular healthcare routines throughout every stage of life. Healthy women are the cornerstone of a healthy family and a thriving community!”

All proceeds from the Girls Just Wanna Have Brunch fundraiser will be dedicated to furthering women’s health awareness through SGMC’s educational outreach programs and screenings.
