Posted on: October 9th, 2023

South Georgia Medical Center is excited to announce a partnership with local obstetricians and gynecologists Pam Temples, MD, and Nikki Yarbrough, DO. Beginning Nov. 6, the physicians will see patients at their new location SGMC Women’s Health located at 2310 N. Patterson St. Ste. D in Valdosta.

Dr. Temples and Yarbrough have long been recognized in the Valdosta community for their expertise, compassionate care, and dedication to women’s health. With a combined experience of nearly 40 years, they have built a strong reputation for their comprehensive and patient-centered care.

This collaboration allows patients a seamless connection between their routine gynecological care and specialized health system services such as labor and delivery, imaging, surgery, and access to specialists.

Yarbrough, who was born at SGMC and raised in Valdosta, says she looks forward to the new practice and continuing to serve the community she loves. “We have been members of SGMC’s medical staff and worked closely with their wonderful team of nurses and support staff in the Women’s and Infants Department since 2004, and adding our office to SGMC’s Physician Network is an enhanced benefit for our patients because it allows seamless connectivity to MyChart and other specialty services the health system provides,” shared Yarbrough.

According to SGMC’s Vice President of Physician Network and Chief Human Resources Officer Brenda Alexander, “The newly established SGMC Women’s Health office aims to build upon the standard of care available to women in our community. The practice will integrate the resources of SGMC’s health system with the attention and expertise of Drs. Temples and Yarbrough. We are thrilled to have them join our team of remarkable OBGYNs.”

From adolescence to menopause and beyond, SGMC Women’s Health offers a wide range of services tailored to meet patients’ unique needs at every stage of life. This includes annual check-ups, preventative screenings such as pap smears and mammograms, family planning services, prenatal and postnatal care, and more.
