SGMC Health welcomes urologist Chase Griffin, MD, to its growing network of physician specialists. A South Georgia native, Dr. Griffin brings advanced training in robotic and minimally invasive urologic surgery to the region, expanding access to specialized care close to home.
Dr. Griffin cares for patients with a wide range of urologic concerns, including kidney, bladder, prostate, and testicular cancers, as well as kidney stones, urinary incontinence, enlarged prostate, erectile dysfunction, and other men’s health conditions. His training emphasizes minimally invasive robotic surgery, including robotic partial nephrectomy and robotic prostatectomy, providing patients access to advanced treatment options close to home.
“My wife and I are excited to return to South Georgia and make Valdosta our home,” said Dr. Griffin. “This community has a growing need for urologic care, and I’m honored to help meet that need close to home. I look forward to building lasting relationships with my patients, guiding them through important healthcare decisions, and providing advanced, compassionate care they can trust.”
Dr. Griffin earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Georgia. He completed his residency training in Urology at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he developed extensive experience in treating a broad range of urologic conditions and advanced robotic surgical techniques.
In addition to providing comprehensive urologic care, Dr. Griffin is committed to building strong relationships with his patients and involving them in every step of the decision-making process. He believes each patient’s goals and values should help guide their treatment plan and strives to ensure patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their care. His professional interests include urologic oncology, robotic surgery, and expanding access to specialized urologic services in underserved communities.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Griffin enjoys spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and their daughter, Emerson. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys boating, hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time on the water with family and friends.
