SGMC Health recognized Shalyn Delmonte, Patient Care Technician, with the February Being Extraordinary Every day (BEE) Award. Delmonte was honored for her positive attitude and work ethic as a new member of the emergency department (ED) team.
Delmonte was nominated by ED leadership at SGMC Health Main for the favorable impression she has made on fellow night shift staff in her first two months. According to the nomination, her coworkers have remarked on the wonderful job she is doing to assist nurses and take care of patients.
“Shay is always willing to take on any task that she is assigned, and she goes above and beyond each and every shift,” shared Craig Grace, SGMC Health Main ED Director. “I am thrilled that she has become a member of our team and expect nothing but great things from her in the future.”
The BEE Award is presented monthly and recognizes staff members who support the role of a nurse, which includes patient care technicians, nursing assistants, and medical assistants. Nomination criteria includes compassion, teamwork, leadership, attitude, and skills and knowledge.
