Representatives from SGMC Health celebrate receiving the 2026 Leapfrog Full Transparency Badge

SGMC Health has earned the 2026 Leapfrog Full Transparency Badge, recognizing the health system’s commitment to publicly reporting information about patient safety and quality through the annual Leapfrog Hospital Survey.

The Full Transparency Badge is awarded to hospitals that complete, affirm and submit all sections of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, one of the nation’s leading voluntary reporting programs focused on patient safety, quality and transparency. The designation reflects SGMC Health’s dedication to accountability and its ongoing efforts to provide patients and families with meaningful information about the care they receive.

“Patients place an extraordinary amount of trust in their healthcare providers, and transparency helps strengthen that trust,” said Pankaj Agrawal, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at SGMC Health. “We are honored to receive this recognition from Leapfrog, which highlights our commitment to openly sharing information about quality and safety while remaining focused on delivering exceptional care across our region.”

At SGMC Health, transparency is more than a reporting standard—it is a commitment to building trust with patients, families and the communities it serves. By openly sharing quality and safety data, SGMC Health empowers individuals to make informed healthcare decisions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

The recognition aligns with SGMC Health’s strategic priority of maintaining unimpeachable credentials and its aspiration to be the safest hospital in the nation. Through ongoing investments in patient safety initiatives, clinical excellence, and operational performance, the health system remains focused on improving outcomes and creating a safer healthcare experience for every patient.

“We applaud SGMC Health for its commitment to transparency,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “Transparency is one of the most powerful drivers of improvement in health care. By fully participating in the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, SGMC Health is helping patients and families access meaningful information about the safety and quality of their care.”

The Leapfrog Full Transparency Badge appears on Leapfrog’s public ratings website and identifies hospitals that have committed to openly sharing information about their performance.
