The messages often advertise a “MyChart Medicare Kit,” “2026 MyChart Senior Health Package,” or other free health and wellness products. While they may appear convincing and include healthcare-related branding, these messages are not affiliated with SGMC Health, MyChart, or Epic.
Scammers use familiar and trusted names to encourage recipients to click links or share personal information.
What Should You Do?
If you receive a suspicious email or text message claiming to offer MyChart-related benefits, SGMC Health recommends that you:
- Do not click any links in the message.
- Do not open attachments.
- Do not reply to the sender.
- Do not provide personal, financial, insurance, or Medicare information.
- Delete the message.
