At the age of 9, Dr. Zeigler was burned over 85% of his body in a flash fire. His desire to become a surgeon was due in large part to the constant contact he had with physicians during the many years of his extended recovery. Dr. “Z” as he is called, loves Valdosta because it’s close to everything. He enjoys vacations to New York City for world-class salsa and chips.
“Dr. Zeigler has performed my surgeries through two cancer situations and each one he has made the process easier. He is caring and understanding and he is honest. He cares about his patients and it shows in the care he delivers.”

“He is the best! He scheduled my surgery with in 3 days and even called me himself to check up on me after surgery.” – Haley C.
“Had a lap chole done by Dr. Zeigler. Got to SGMC at 5:30am and was sent home by 11:00am 🙂 Back on my feet in 2 days with nothing but Motrin. Clean incisions, minimal bruising and overall very good surgery! Dr. Z redeemed my personal bad experiences with healthcare (even though I’m a nurse). Thank you Doc!” – Lauren S.
“Dr Zeigler is a very skilled and caring surgeon. He saved my sister’s life!!!! He always does what is best for each individual!!!!!!” -Judy P.
