Dr. John P. Kendrick was born in Rome, Georgia. He attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. While attending there, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1975, and following this, obtained a Masters of Biology Degree in 1977. Not only was Dr. Kendrick a high honors graduate, but he also made a name for himself in the athletic world playing football for East Tennessee State.

He attended the Medical College of Georgia and received his Medical Degree as an A.O.A. Honor graduate in 1981. He completed a general surgery internship and orthopedic residency at the Medical College of Georgia in 1982 and 1986, respectively. He has been certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. His initial certificate was obtained in 1988, and he was re-certified in 1998.

Dr. Kendrick’s area of interest within his specialty includes Joint Replacement, Fracture Care, and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Kendrick is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, a member of The Southern Orthopedic Society, The Medical Association of Georgia, and South Georgia Medical Society (Lowndes County) and Georgia Orthopaedic Society.

He has three daughters named Katelyn, Carrie Beth, and Anne Spencer. In his free time, Dr. Kendrick loves spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and going to sporting events.
