South Georgia Medical Center announces the promotion of Robert Jones to Director of Support Services. Jones has been with SGMC for 31 years serving in various roles.
In his new position he will oversee environmental services, traction, equipment services, and valet.
Jones said he’s thrilled to accept this new opportunity. “In times where change is prevalent, I seek to help those around me grow and maximize their potential throughout the health system,” said Jones.
Jones graduated from Wiregrass Georgia Technical College as an Emergency Medical Technician and also has his Bachelor of Ministry from J & E Ministry for Christ, Inc. Bible College.
Jones is married to Valisa and together they have three adult children. Jones is a deacon at Restoration Fellowship Church and volunteers with the Humane Society. Jones is also the current chairman of the Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Nursing Program Advisory Committee.
