Randall B. Brown, MD
Dr. Brown graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine and completed general surgery training at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at the Carolinas Heart Institute at Charlotte Medical Center in 1994. He has extensive experience cardiac surgery, specializing in valve and structural heart surgeries.
Joe H. Johnson, MD
A native of Quitman and Valdosta State University graduate, Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed general surgery training at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and completed a fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at the Carolines Heart Institute at Charlotte Medical Center in 1989. Before returning to Valdosta to lead CVI, Dr. Johnson, was a founding member of the Macon CardioVascular Institute. After a highly successful practice in Macon, he returned home bringing his former practice partners and staff to further develop the cardiovascular surgery program at SGMC.
Maurice M. Solis, MD
Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
Meet Maurice Solis, MD in the specialty of peripheral vascular and endovascular surgery. Dr. Solis grew up in Gainesville, FL and attended the University of Florida. He graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Solis completed a fellowship in peripheral vascular surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and a fellowship in endovascular surgery at Southern Illinois University. He is board certified in peripheral vascular surgery. His practice is devoted exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with circulatory disorders. Dr. Solis has been involved with multiple clinical trials and is widely published in medical literature having authored over 40 articles and four book chapters on the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease. His particular area of interest is aortic aneurysms.
