Free Skin Cancer Screening
Skin cancer is the most common of all cancers. It accounts for nearly half of all cancers in the United States. More than 3.5 million cases of basal and squamous cell skin cancer are diagnosed in the U.S. each year. Melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer will account for more than 76,100 cases of skin cancer in 2014.

As a way to raise awareness and diagnose skin cancer earlier, South Georgia Medical Center is offering a free skin cancer screening on Thursday, May 7 from 5:30 to 7 pm at South Georgia Medical Center's Pearlman Cancer Center.

A free, non-medical program offered in partnership with the American Cancer Society. It teaches beauty techniques to women who are going through active cancer treatments to help them combat the appearance related side-effects of treatment.
