SGMC Volunteer Auxiliary donates $25,000 to SGMC Foundation

The Volunteer Auxiliary at South Georgia Medical Center presented a donation of $25,000 to the SGMC Foundation at its October Board meeting.Foundation Executive Director Elizabeth Vickers accepted the donation from Daryl Stanfield, Volunteer Auxiliary President, and members of the Auxiliary Board. The Auxiliary’s annual donations are made possible by hospital gift shop sales and fundraisers such as uniform sales, bake sales and book fairs. This year’s donation will support special equipment for upcoming campaigns.“Our Volunteer Auxiliary has been a dedicated supporter of the SGMC Foundation for many years,” said Vickers. “We are very fortunate to have such a great partner supporting the philanthropic mission of SGMC.” Since 1996, the Auxiliary has donated $1.3 million to the SGMC Foundation.
