Breast MRI

Breast MRI one of our newest imaging services at SGMC provides women the technology to detect adnormalities that are not evident clinically, mammographically or sonographically.  For women with a high risk for breast cancer due to family history, research has demonstrated that breast MRI can significantly improve the detection of cancer.  Breast MRI is also used to evaluate patients with silicone or saline breast implants, stage the progression of disease and even during chemotherapy to observe changes following treatment.
