John W. Devine, MD

Dr. Devine joined the SGMC Health Medical Staff in 1985. His progressive Radiation Oncology Practice at Pearlman is one of 21 in Georgia accredited by the American College of Radiology. Dr. Devine’s practice has been continually accredited by ACR for over three decades. His leadership and forward thinking has shaped the program provided today.

Samuel Ofori, MD

Dr. Ofori joined the SGMC Health Medical Staff in 2009. He came to Pearlman upon completing his Hematology/Oncology residency in Chicago. Dr. Ofori won multiple academic achievement awards during his training and is keenly interested in clinical trials and works with the Southwest Oncology Group and ACORN to bring advanced cancer trials to his patients.

Luke Stapleton, MD

Dr. Stapleton joined the SGMC Health Medical Staff in 2016. He fulfilled a distinguished military career working his way up from an Army Medical Corp Hematologist/Oncologist to the Deputy Commander for Clinical Services for the Southeast Regional Command. He concluded his Federal Service by serving as the Chief Medical Officer of the VA Southeast Network and then the Chief of Hematology/Oncology at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center.

Savita Bidyasar, MD

Dr. Bidyasar joined the SGMC Health Medical Staff in 2017. She, too, worked as a Hematologist/Medical Oncologist at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta. Dr. Bidyasar conducted research at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and contributed content for numerous national and international medical publications. She is excited to relocate to Valdosta.
Jack (Jianfeng) Wang, MD, PhD

Dr. Wang joined the SGMC Health Medical Staff in 2017. He originally practiced hematology/oncology in China where he was awarded two National Institutes of Health research grants that brought him to the US. After relocating, Dr. Wang retrained in hematology/medical oncology and continued to conduct academic research. Dr. Wang is very interested in cancer immunotherapies and applying new scientific study to everyday medical practice.
