The Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce Names
SGMC 2009 World Class Employer

    During the annual World Class Employee Recognition Breakfast hosted by the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce, SGMC accepted the award for 2009 World Class Employer in the Large Business Category. 

    SGMC was recognized for offering one of the best employee benefits packages in the community including tuition reimbursement for employees who are willing to advance their education to become specialized in their fields and as the only company in the region to offer a childcare benefit.  SGMC also provides scholarship assistance and internships for prospective employees and serves as a valuable training and mentoring site for health professions education.

   Also, SGMC was proud to have two outstanding employees, Ellen Moore (Integrated Services) and Jill Penn (Employee Health), nominated in the World Class Employee Recognition Program. In all, there were 28 community-wide employees recognized for their tireless work ethic and commitment in getting the job done!
