Clinch Memorial Hospital was opened in 1957 as a 40-bed, rural community hospital.  In 1997, South Georgia Medical Center entered into a management agreement to provide an administrator and clinical and management consult services at Clinch.  In 2007, construction was completed on a new building for the hospital. Today, the hospital maintains a loyal following of community supporters who are excited to have this new facility in their community.  Clinch Memorial Hospital is the 4th largest employer in Homerville.
