Community Health Promotions works with affiliated physicians and other local and national organizations to offer free or low cost programs, screenings, classes, and support groups to help address common health problems specific to the South Georgia region. By empowering individuals to improve their health and wellness, medical complications are reduced and a better quality of life is enjoyed.

Community Health Promotions also works with the SGMC Foundation and Kohl's Cares® to offer programs that provide health and safety information to the kids and teens in the community.

SGMC’s Chef and Dietitians are hosting a one-day culinary/nutrition class for kids ages 7-11. Chef in Training is a culinary/nutrition education program that encourages kids to develop healthy eating habits and kitchen safety.
