South Georgia Medical Center is seeking both experienced and new graduate Registered Nurses.

SGMC works with both Valdosta State University and Wiregrass Technical College to allow students to participate in community health functions and earn the clinical hours needed to meet their career goals.

Recent Graduates

Recent Graduate Registered Nurses are eligible to be hired in the role of Nurse Intern III if the following qualifications are met:

  • Graduate of an accredited A.D.N. or B.S.N. program and eligible to sit for state boards.

  • Must provide official transcripts from school in which RN degree was obtained at the time of the pre-employment appointment.

  • Must have established state board testing date and provide proof of state board testing date at tie of the pre-employment appointment.  State boards must be taken within 30 days of the receipt of confirmation by the Human Resources Department.

SGMC Scholarship Program

Educational assistance is available through the South Georgia Medical Center Scholarship Program.  Students who have been accepted in enrollment in a Registered Nurse (A.D.N. or B.S.N.) program will be considered for scholarship upon receipt of all requested information.
