Updated Policies and Procedures
Section 6032 of the Federal Deficit Reduction Act mandates that SGMC adopt Policies and Procedures concerning “Education About False Claims Recoveries”, and that SGMC provide access to these Policies and Procedures to certain contractors, agents or other persons which or who, on behalf of SGMC, furnish or otherwise authorize the furnishing of Medicaid health care items or services, perform billing or coding functions, or are involved in monitoring of health care provided by SGMC. Such contractors or agents are required to adopt identical or similar policies.
SGMC has recently amended its Policies and Procedures in this regard effective July 14, 2008. Please click the link below for more information.
