Youth Care at SGMC provides urgent care for children when their regular pediatrician’s office is closed at night or during the weekend.
Please go to the SGMC Emergency Department or call 9-1-1 if you believe your child has a severe and/or life-threatening emergency.

Youth Care 2013-2014 Holiday Hours:
Closed December 24th - Christmas Eve and December 25th - Christmas Day,
Closed December 31st - New Year's Eve and January 1st - New Year's Day
Monday – Friday
5:30pm – 8:30pm
Saturday & Sunday
9:30am – 4:30pm
Youth Care will be closed on all major holidays including but not limited to: Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Who will see my child at Youth Care?
Your child will be seen by one of SGMC’s affiliated pediatricians.

Youth Care is also staffed with registration clerks and certified pediatric nurses.
Are there guidelines or restrictions for Youth Care Services?
Yes. Youth Care pediatricians will not see:
- Adolescents sixteen (16) years of age or older unless they are under the care of a local pediatrician.
- Female adolescents who are pregnant and/or experiencing female problems
Please note: Adolescents meeting the criteria given above are referred to the Emergency Department.
Do I have to have an appointment for my child to be seen?
No. Youth Care is for urgent, unexpected illnesses. We see patients on a first-come, first serve basis.
Follow up with Your Pediatrician
We will fax the notes from your child's visit at Youth Care to the child's primary pediatrician. This will allow the pediatrician to follow-up with you as needed.
