SGMC Lakeland Villa Earns Quality Recognition

Valdosta, Ga. – The SGMC Lakeland Villa has earned two prestigious recognition from the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living. The awards are on behalf of the Quality Initiative Recognition Program and are bestowed upon the Villa for safely reducing hospital readmissions and for safely reducing the off-label use of antipsychotic medications.

The SGMC Lakeland Villa staff will be recognized at the organizations’ national conference and Quality Symposium to be held in Austin, Texas in February, 2015. The staff is invited to present a poster presentation documenting their best practices in achieving these two awards.“The employees of the SGMC Lakeland Villa are to be commended for their extraordinary efforts in meeting defined goals and improving the residents’ quality of care,” said Geoff Hardy, MBA, LNHA, administrator of the SGMC Lakeland Villa.
