Partnership Cancer Fund Receives Funds

Posted on: June 27th, 2012

Organizers of the annual Hahira Cancer Day recently presented this year’s contribution of over $3,000 for the Partnership Cancer Fund to Bridgett Young, Director of the Pearlman Cancer Center at SGMC. The Partnership Cancer Fund, under the direction of the Lowndes County Partnership for Health, addresses the needs of underinsured and uninsured cancer patients in Lowndes County. Eula Copeland, who lost her great-grandson to cancer, began organizing this event several years ago to raise money for cancer, as well as to honor survivors and memorialize those lost to the disease.
