Cart Drivers Recognized as Hospital Heroes

SGMC Assistant Administrator of Communications and Public Affairs Johnny Ball presents the Hospital Hero awards to courtesy cart volunteers Howard Brock and Jim Bowen, not pictured is James Biles. The Hospital Authority of Valdosta Lowndes County Georgia recognized SGMC Pearlman Cancer Center Courtesy Cart Drivers Howard Brock, Jim Bowen and James Biles as Hospital Heroes on Wednesday.Brock, Bowen, and Biles all serve on the hospital’s Volunteer Auxiliary and spend their service hours helping patients and visitors get to and from the cancer center via golf carts. Their dedication and commitment is evidenced in their years with the organization. Brock has served for six years, volunteering 1,387 hours. Bowen has five years of service and 1,548 hours.
